Bougies la Francaise Perforated Taper Candles box of 8

A tradition that dates back to 1900, the Bougies la Francaise perforated candles or "bougies trouées"  were the first candles with internal perforations. As the candle burns, the wax fills the perforations to burn later instead of running down the outside. The result is a candle that burns longer with less wax. Imagine a candle that recycles itself! Bougies la Francaise owns the last machine used to produce perforated candles. Each taper candle measures 9 inches long with a fluted base and a burn time of 7 hours. Often used in restaurants and cafés.

Comes in boxes of 8. The box is turquoise and decorated with vintage seals and motifs. Made in France.
