Founded in Quimper in 1690, the HB-Henriot Quimper Faience is one of the oldest companies in continuous business in France. Over more than 300 years, the company has refined its craft, but things are still done pretty much in the same way today. Starting with raw clay, the company creates some of the most beautiful pieces of faience in the world. Every piece is still hand-painted (freehand, no transfers or decals) by one of the many gifted artists employed by HB-Henriot, but now pieces are lead-free and microwave safe. After a few years of absence in the USA, the HB-Henriot Quimper Faience products are now available again in America.
